Time to get back on track!

So the past couple of months I've noticed that my clothes don't fit like they used to. Although, I believe I have been in denial because I didn't want to believe I was gaining weight... but the past couple months I've come to actually admit it. Yesterday was my breaking point... Kacey said, "I really liked how skinny you were when we met and got married." Hm.... I believe my "beloved" husband just called me fat. He says that's not what he meant, but... what else is it supposed to mean?! Anyways, I don't take it personal at all and I know he loves me so he's not in any trouble. Besides... it was the straw that broke the camel's back. Today, I went to Walmart and bought a scale.... something I've been scared to do. It's a pretty nice one that measures body fat and everything. When I got on it today, it was worse than I expected! I've gained almost 40 pounds since our wedding day and am only 2 pounds away from being considered "over-weight." I thought I had gained closer to 30.... but nope 40!!! Not to mention how high my body fat number is! Anyway, before we got married I found a website (www.sparkpeople.com) that helped me maintain my weight while I was as school so I would fit in my wedding dress... I decided it was a good idea to get back on it and start tracking EVERYTHING again. Sparkpeople gives you meal plans and an exercise program to help you either maintain where you are or get to where you want to me. Honestly, its a pretty great site.... plus IT'S FREE!!! Plus, I tend to do better when I actually have to track what I'm doing. I don't exactly eat what they tell me, but I do watch my numbers... it also tells you how many carbs/fat/protein/etc... you need to get in a day to reach your goal... those are the numbers I say attention to. I hit the gym and actually survived 35 minutes on the elliptical and felt pretty good afterwards! I was pretty proud of myself! When I started working out at CSU I was lucky to survive 15... so I was pretty surprised that I got through it! Anyway, I've decided that I don't want to ever be unhappy with my body or my health and I need to start making a habit of taking care of myself. Maybe, one day, I will actually be able to take my dogs on a run (something I can't do now because of my knees / I wouldn't be able to breath).
It's time to make a change! Wish me luck!

Black and White

Me and my photoshopping habit.... I've recently been messing with making pictures black and white. I've always had a love for black and white photography. I think it first started when I was little and saw the black and white photos with the red rose. It's pretty much what inspired my wedding colors/theme. Anyway... here are my recent photoshopping experiments.
