Christmas Decorations!!

This is our first Christmas being married! I really wanted the whole get up with the tree and the stockings and all the trimmings. However... we live in a 687 sq ft apartment with barely enough room for the two of us and our dogs... let alone our stuff. So, needless to say I can't quite have the whole sha-bang. BUT... one day on my way to work I have a brilliant idea to make our little dwelling festive! Here's a couple pictures!

This is our tree! I know its not traditional but, it takes up absolutely NO space!

Out with the Old... In with the New

For those of you that don't know...
Kacey and I have been having car problems with Kacey's Tiburon. A little over a year ago Kacey took his car in to have the clutch replaced. Let's just say that is really expensive and I helped him pay for it. Then... about 6 monthes ago it decided it didn't want to start anymore. Kacey and I didn't have the money to fix it right away so it sat until November. We took it in and were told that the starter, fly wheel, and clutch all needed to be replaced... talk about EXPENSIVE! But we knew the car needed to be fix and told the mechanics to go ahead. 6 weeks later after all this work has been done the car still wouldn't start and the mechanics couldn't figure out why. After all this frustration and a couple thousand dollars Kacey and I decided to get rid of it and get Kacey a different car.
If you know Kacey... he's pretty picky when it comes to what he will drive. He has a hard enough time driving my Jetta. While we were in Arizona we test drove numerous cars... all of which were sports cars and out of our price range. I had a hard time with the idea of him getting another sports car. When we got home Kacey found his new car online and we decided to check it out. In the end we ended up buying for a REALLY good deal.
Take a look!

This is a 2006 Nissan 350z Touring. It has 4000 miles on it with ALL the extras inside except for a navigation system. These extras include leather heated seats, a Bose sound system with a sub, and a 6 disk CD changer.
Kacey is like a 5 year old boy on Chrismas morning.
I think he may be getting a key chain for Christmas this year. HAHA

Arizona Trip

It's been about a week since Kacey and I got back from our adventure in Arizona so I think it's about time to talk about it.

Kacey and I left on December 4 after I got off work and drove through the night. We arrived at my sisters house at 4:30 in the morning on December 5. After about a 5 hour nap at my sisters house we took off to southern Pheonix to go apartment shoppping. We looked at 5-7 different complexes that day and they all started to blend together in ours minds. Luckily my genius husband had the idea to video tape our tours so we know what we looked at!
Every single complex we looked at had fountains or waterfalls outside of them. Here is a picture of one of them.

The next day, Saturday, we hung out with my sister at her husband. They introduced us to something called geocashing. It's like a treasure hunt and its pretty fun! Kacey and I may have to pick it up too. To geocash you need a GPS, that's what the blue thing is you see in the pictures.

A geocash can be anything. Most of them hold little things, you are supposed to bring something to put in it and then take something out of it and sign the log book that is inside. This one was an Altoids container.

Later that day there way a fair type of thing with hot air balloons and all sorts of animals. Here is our favorite balloon and lots of the animals we got to see and touch.

There were a lot more animals than this but these were my favorites. I was SOOO excited to pet an aligator!

On Sunday, after church, Kacey and I decided to go back down to southern Pheonix to explore where we would be living. I wish I would have brought the camera. We went to one of the 3 malls in the area and this one had a Carosell on the middle of the food court and 6 different sections of the mall... each of these sections could have almost been its own mall! I can see myself getting in a lot of trouble in the place $-). Later we went to the Mesa Temple gounds where they had Christmas light. We walked around for an hour before Karen and Dixon made it. We looked around for another hour and decided that we had had enough. So we got in the car and wondered around Mesa (more like getting lost) and eventually back to my sister's house to go to bed.
Monday, we had a few more apartments to look at. I did that and got to know the area a little more.

We were sad to go on Tuesday morning, especially since we were coming back to VERY cold weather.
We are excited about our prospective move but a little nervous at the same time. Once we are there I'm sure we will settle in and be just fine.

LEAVING!

This post isn't all that exciting but I'm REALLY excited!

Tomorrow Kacey and I are taking our first trip together! We're going to Pheonix! And although it's more business than pleasure... I'M REALLY EXCITED!

For those of you that don't know, Kacey works for Dish Network and they just opened a new call center in Pheonix. Which makes a TON of new jobs and the need to trained supervisors... ahem... Kacey... ahem... So we are looking to relocate in the (hopefully) near future! We'll be looking at apartments and getting a feel for the town (more like MASSIVE city) all while seeing and staying with my sister in her GORGEOUS new house!

Also, for those that don't know.... Arizona State University was my top choice in colleges. Needless to say.. I'm EXTATIC at the possibility of going there! Hopefully we'll have some time to stop by the campus!

Another plus.... it is FrEeZiNg here in Colorado... WARM WEATHER HERE WE COME!!!!
Now all I have to do is pack... do the dishes... and pretty much clean the apartment... I hate coming home to a mess...

Better Run!
